Laser Lipolysis

Excellent Results with Minimal Downtime

What is Laser Lipolysis?

Advanced laser lipolysis is an excellent new treatment that uses fine, fibre-optic lasers to destroy and uniquely, remove fat from the body. Only a local anaesthetic is used on the area to be treated rather than a general anaesthetic and full surgery, as with liposuction.

Lipo with laser Surgery

Local anaesthetic is applied, then very small incisions (less than 3mm) are made in the skin around the problem area. The laser probe is then eased into these incisions. Areas of unwanted fat are liquefied and smoothly suctioned away through a very small cannula. The laser is then reinserted to stimulate collagen production, which can improve the appearance of skin, its texture and tightness, giving a more sculpted and smooth look. We normally expect to remove between 500ml and 1 litre of fat in one treatment session.

Treatments normally take between 45 and 90 minutes depending on the area to be treated and no overnight stay is required. You can expect to see a change in your shape immediately after treatment, and this will improve week on week. But, the full effect won’t be visible for 6 to 12 months after your procedure.

Later Progress

After treatment, you may experience some bruising, swelling, redness and loose skin around the treatment area, but this will subside over the following weeks. We recommend that you have day or two of rest before resuming normal activities and we will advise you to wear a compression garment for two weeks after the procedure to help the healing process.
