What is Vector Facelift
Over time our skin looses elasticity and volume which can lead to characteristics generally associated with ageing; looser, drier skin on jowls, deeper lines and wrinkles. The vector facelift can help restore the appearance of youth using a combination of non-surgical techniques that help reduce fine lines and restore volume. Using the very latest non-surgical products and methods, the Vector Facelift aims to improve the general appearance of youthfulness, rather than just targeting individual problem areas.
The Vector facelift uses a variety of products to enhance the youthfulness of the face. Normally, a combination of wrinkle smoothers, dermal fillers and lasers are used. At Nu, we use the new generation of dermal fillers which are a thinner consistency giving a more natural appearance. We mainly use two types of filler; Radiesse® is used to give volume in the cheeks or restore a youthful plumpness in the skin; and Juvederm® which is used to fill deeper lines and wrinkles. Laser treatments vary dependent on your skin’s individual needs but may include a peel or specialist treatment.
Before your treatment, we request that you come in and have a chat to one of our Practitioners to check your suitability and agree on an individualized treatment plan. We will also need to perform a patch test for any laser treatment.
The Procedure
The Vector Facelift is personalized to your skin’s needs so your treatment plan will be completely individualized. As a rough guide, wrinkle smoothers and fillers involve a number of small injections with a very fine needle. Laser treatments normally require a course of 4-8 sessions.

Later Progress
After any injection treatment, you may notice some swelling and bruising over the first few days. This is completely normal and will fade in the week following your treatment. Effects of filler are immediate and will last for 6-18 months. Wrinkle smoothing injections tend to take approximately 10-14 days for their full effect to be seen and can last for 3-4 months.
Following laser treatment, your skin may feel tingly and appear red, but this normally subsides in a few hours. The effects of laser treatments can last for years depending on your skincare routine, lifestyle and environmental factors following the treatment.

Will the procedure hurt?

This is dependent on the treatments you choose, but you can normally go back to activities the same day. There may be some bruising in the area so you may want to consider this if you are planning trips away or special days.
